Hi all,

I have an XBOX 360 Slim (4G with liteon 1175) unit with mfr date 2011-10-10, which I only used for a couple months after purchase. It has never been modded and is currently running D/K 14699, which I have avoided updating thinking it might adversely impact my ability to mod it in the future.

Now with M$ opening up the streaming apps to all users, I'd like to to install netflix, but it wouldn't let me go online without updating the system software. What I'd like to find out is that is the console with its current dashboard version any easier to mod than it would be, if I update it to the latest version? I read somewhere that in order to retrieve the CPU key through RGH, certain hardware would only support certain dashboard versions... I don't have an immediate need for a mod, but does it make sense to at least get some steps carried out (example, get the key/firmware dumped) for future use, before I proceed with the software update? Or would I be able to mod it in the future regardless of the dashboard version?

Thanks!
