I'm confused on the whole issue/arena of the LT 3.0 firmware, and how it delves into subjects such as XGD3 and topology data, and potentially having to either inject that data or rerip --
Does any of that matter if you're running a 100% RGH system that will never have to worry about connecting to Live or anything?
I'm wondering if I'm making things difficult for myself in the future by backing up games without the LT 3.0 DVD drive firmware (I'm backing the games up through FSD).
Will I have problems with these games down the line, like with subsequent MS Dashboard updates? If so, I don't have a problem with updating the drive's firmware to LT 3.0, just wondering if it's necessary (or might even potentially cause more problems by updating it)
