Is my benq dvd drive broken xbox 360?

Normally when you switch an xbox 360 on the laser comes on and moves. And the disc motor thing spins. But with my dvd drive the laser comes on but doesn't move and the motor wont work. When i press the eject button it wont open too. What can i do to fix this?

sounds like the motor worm dead ck the ribbons make sure the in tact and as far as disc tray not opening may be a bad belt on the motor take it apart and inspect it for dirt hair ect clean it up if it needs it

another thing with the belt, get the drive to eject and pull the tray out then take the black belt off the drive and soak it in hot water, or in boiling water for a few minutes to get the tension back on the band. that may help. also check the solder joints to make sure theres no spill over shorting something out. another suggestion would be to take the drive out the 360 and use an external power source (ck3 or ck3i) and see if it ejects and operates correctly.

i removed the rubber band then press the eject button. The gears aren't even moving i even oiled it.

i think its bricked
