Is my demon faulty

OK I can read and write with the mini usb and the demon set to pc. So I thought I would test with the ribbon attached and use the ext module.

With the ext module connected to the ribbon and connected to the pc it shows the demon in jrunner and I can toggle nands. But when I try to read the demon nand jrunner crashes.

Is this normal or is the demon faulty?

Demon is not connected to the xbox by the way

You're trying something which isn't part of the testing so no, it won't work.

Set back to PC and provided you can read/write to the DemoN via the micro-USB on-board, its fine.

so how would you know if you have a problem with your ribbons?

You could test the USB ribbon by moving the switch to XB, then soldering just 5VSB and GND. The DemoN should then be detected (and LED light up) via the mini-USB port.

Ull find out after uve installed everything. Ive never seen someone get a faulty ribbon.

Ok It was installed but would not show up when connected to pc. Everything looked and tested fine. I tried what Martin suggested but just kept getting unrecognized usb and nothing showing up in jrunner. I have uninstalled now and thought there may have been away to test without it in the xbox.

I will try again tomorrow. This is the first time it has happened to me and I have installed quite a few now.

You've possibly not connected something right. Have you checked continuity between the demon and the USB port?

Fook Yeah!!!!!

Got home from work this morning and started again. Gave everything a good clean and took my time and had it installed in 45 mins lol. Working fine now.

Thanks for all the help guys like they say sometimes it is better to just sleep on it
