I ordered a R-JTAG ultimate kit but the JR Programmer v2 seems to be defective. When plugging it in the red and green LED only blink vaguely for a few milliseconds and then it does nothing. I filmed it here:

2 questions:
  1. Can somebody confirm that this is defective or how I can fix it myself based on the video?
  2. Either way I can still do the R-JTAG without the rater using a JRP v1 right?

Cheers.

Have you tried reading your nand yet? Can you post pics please of your install?

JRP v1 works fine (so drivers should be good), using that one I already read my NAND. My JRP v2 just doesn't power on as the video shows so J-Runner doesn't detect anything either.

Thanks for that, contacted reseller and will try to get a decent boot time without rater, else I'll just wait for a new JRP v2.

Solution

Just in case anyone lands here with similar problems, a solution:

I put the JRP in bootloader mode and flashed it with the hex that is supplied with J-Runner. After that it worked :).
