JTAG Is my jtag dead?

Switched on my jtag today and only the centre green light came on my start button, no picture no sound so i restarted it and it did the same again.

I turned the xbox off and started it with the eject button and guess what!! no xell

Can anyone help me out and tell me the hell has happened?

What model of console is it ? Is it an old xenon and I gather you are saying it is a jtag and not an rgh.

sorry its a Xenon and it is jtagged not rgh

thats either been updated with an official update or its on its way to rrod. if the efuses have been protected it will be salvageable if its an update issue.

only the one who updated it would know. if you have the ability to dump the nand open it in 360 flash tool and check what version dash it is against what you know should be on it. it could be the gpu failing but being a jtag you need to be certain as reflowing it when its an update issue could easily kill the gpu

The xbox was lent to my next door neighbour while i was away for the weekend,

I have tried to read the nand with the nand-x but all i get is "incompatible ARM for this version of NANDPRO"

you need the old version of nand pro or to update your nandx. the error is because you have a v2 nandx and the current nandpro wants the new v3 firmware on there. an old jtag tool would also work.

Silly question but are you sure the video cables are good? The Xbox wont boot and give the same symptoms with missing/bad cables.

yeh ive tried different cables.

Just isalled an older version of nand pro now i get the error "looking for usb interface devise, could not detect a flash controller! can not continue

Check the soldering for your NAND-X and make sure that you only have the power supply connected to the xbox360 and no powering the console on.

Also, forgot to mention that if you are only getting the center green light and no AV then it sounds like the console is getting the early signs of RROD. Do you see the standard green lights go in a circle and then a steady green center light or does it stay on the center green light no matter how long you wait?

open it in 360 flash tool and look at the 6bl patch value, the highest one is your dash version

Right, that means your xbox360 is not booting at all or should I say not getting past the initial boot up stage. Have you had a chance to check your nand in 360 Flash tool as adv by the OP?

Are you able to post a screen shot 360 Flash Tool with your nand opened in it. Also, if you do manage to get out of this sticky situation can I suggest that you perform the R6T3 resistor removal so you get added update protection against future accidental or unknown updates.
