Instaleld the X3 right when it came out but they didnt post that you needed to insulate the alt 5v pin till a couple months later and i think my box shorted out. if this is true or not how or what can i do to fix this problem if any? the chip still turns on and both the HD and the samsung drive still work....the box just wont boot. I get the 3 resets then red and green fragg. ive checked for broken traces and there are none. I tried resoldering all the points on the mobo and alot of other things but getting the same result. I know its not the chip because i pluged in my buddys chip and it still had the same result. Any sugestions to possible solutions would be great.

Any suggestions?////?????

thanks.

I think this can normally fry the Video chip, as this is close ???

Either way, yes, probably buy a new mobo !

well if you really didnt want to buy a new board...........you could get somebody to make a complete mobo pinout and test each and every point on it and then repair the broken spots......

hehehe
