Is my XBOX dead?

I got the Xecuter 3 and installed it on my XBOX 1.0, it didn't work. I tried it again making adjuestments, this time I got nothing, then the external card was RED with the H.D. blinking blue, then just solid blue, now the card is all off again. when I turn my XBOX on also the eject button was blinking RED and GREEN like a christmas tree.

Sometimes now when I turn it on, it shuts off automatically, it stayed on after button push #3, now it's blinking RED and GREEN still and the card is got the RED disabled light with the solid blue H.D. light...

I was thinking about getting the Xapt3r, and unistalling all the previous work I did if it will make things easier since I have a 1.0 version. Is it worth it to purchase the Xapt3r or do you think my system is now dead?

Any suggestions, or am I just plain dead. :(

If I bought a Xapt3r would it be easier, or could I still run into problems?

If the pins on the Xapt3r don't make proper contact, then yes you will run into problems.

I agree with this, before even buying a modchip of anytype you should see how much support there is, but that's not a factor with this brand. There's so much information here that not even a retard could screw up UNLESS you didn't read the information and just went ahead and started soldering.

I printed out all 25 pages and followed each step with care.

My question now is... how do you UN-solder something? Like if I want to clean up any soldering that may be causing a bad connection/contact with the Xapt3r (when I get it)?

I with my limited experience, would use a solder vaccum, you can do a search on this site or a google search to find out more. I'm sure others have ideas if they would want to chime in.

Hope this helps! ;)

I'm sorry I couldn't find anything on a solder vacuum within these forums and that is even after I corrected your wrong spelling of vacuum! :D :p :D

Should I just lick the excess solder off?

SB! I was only kidding... I forget I'm not in my own forums. Lots of "fun" sarcasm goes on in there. Anyways, I didn't mean anything by my comments please accept my apologies. Your help is greatly appreciated. :)

I did find a soldering vacuum at a local store, it's not a vacuum it's more of an ear gunk sucker really (lol) but it does the same thing. :D
