Is My Xbox Toast? X3 PCB with 1.6 - LAD2 issue

Soo anyways, I go to install my brand new X3 onto my 1.6 xbox. Everything seemed to be going fine. To make a long story short, it wasnt working so I proceed to check all of my solder points. All seemed good but the LAD2 point on the PCB board. So I attempted to make sure it was perfectly clean and had a good connection and I slightly lifted on the pcb board.. Well what do you know, the entire LAD2 point comes out... So now when I turn on my xbox, it attempts to boot twice and then I get a red light around the eject button. :(

Is my xbox toast or should I have someone experienced with electronics try to recont the points on the mother board above and below LAD2.

It it worth even trying or should I give up, buy a new xbox & x3 and start over.... :?:

Hey, it's never completely broken.....

If you have some soldering experience, just repair the trace with a jumper wire between the two points.

I am trying that tomorrow with someone who is much more experienced with soldering than I am. I'll let you know how it turns out!

ITS FIXED!!!!!

It worked!

We ended up finding where those two leads started on the board. We then connectd a new wire from 2 fresh contacts. From there we connected one end to pin 8 and bam! Its allliiiiive! Got the x3 bios and evox installed and its working great so far!!

So, I knowXBL ToS says no back ups I get that. But read this article and tell me why if basically the info isnt locked and the law says we can create one copy of everthing media we OWN, and the original has access to live on it, where do they get off zappin us? Pre ap 25 I get Tos applys I get it, but how can they justify "bricking your console" with these double whammy games ie dash update plus ap25 equals your screwed even offline, OFFLINE is what gets me. IF I buy hardware and want to shove toothpaste in it it better play it! Doesnt seem rite to corrupt offliners no mattter original or back up modified or not. They can ban you from going online becuase it is a private network. They can kick anyone out for any reason they want.

They also reserve the right to modify their intellectual property. so if they wanna code the xbox to not be able to install games they can do that too.

Cryin tears of joy boys I stay on top of my mods Im talkin about the poor slouch who thinks hes all good cuz hes offline. Remember IGOLD cocealed carry now!
