My question is my subject. I plan on buying a few RRoD Xboxes and JTAGing them but my question is this: Is NAND-X more of a permanent solution for one Xbox rather than for use for multiple boxes?

If NAND-X is more of a single Xbox JTAG solution than what is recommended for flashing multiple boxes? Obviously I'm talking about USB and not the old LPT method.

Thanks in advance!

Ofcourse, the Nand-X can be used multiple times. But since the original Nand-X package is designed for use with a single Xbox360, you will need to buy new QSBs separately for every Xbox360 you Jtag, atleast for the JTAG portion. Or you could use the Pin Headers multiple times for reading/writing the NAND, while solder direct wires on the JTAG part.

Alright thanks! So it'll be ok if I just use some de-soldering braid to remove the solder for the NAND points, insert the pinheads, connect the pinhead wires to the motherboard/NAND-X and when I'm all finished just remove the pinhead adapters?

As long as I use wires and my own switching diodes for the JTAG hack I should be fine correct?

Also, forgot to ask. What gauge wire should I be using for soldering the JTAG?

yea the nand-x is for more than one use and after you have used the QSB's that came with it you are just going to have to buy your own wire and diodes and for reading the nand just cut the pin header cable to expose the wires and strip them and solder on to the MOBO to read and write to the nand and after you finished jtagging just desolder the pin header cable and its ready to be used on another exploitable. But that is just my method and opinion its up to you but id recommend it.
So what you are gonna need beside nand-x is

Diodes 1N914/1N4148 : http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062587

30 gauge wire(thats what i use and reccomend, 30 gauge is nice and small and thin and easy to work with)http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062640
