Is there a definitive answer?

Only been moddin the box for a few months and have had the misfortune of getting my 1st 1.6b.

Have serched the forum and cant seem to put my finger on a definitive answer.

I have installed a 2.6 lite with the M8 plus 16 bios, ran ok but hung on certain games (PES4 being a prime one)) and was ver slow to start up. put slayers on and it wouldnt run any of the apps.

Reflashed with the bios off slayer 2.6 and now wont run anything other than mortal kombat (sucks)

i have a 2.6 programmer and x2 v2.3 so if someone could tell me in nice simple steps what I need to do to get it to run (bioses etc) I would be grateful.

Or if an x3 would solve all my probs, please let me know!!

Silly Qs - did you remember to:

1. Set the date/time on the Xbox while it's disabled?
2. Flash the M8plus 16 BIOS to Bank 2?

I did set time & date with it disabled, and believed that I had flashed it to bank 2, however booting off either bank results in a boot to evox dash.

the x2.6 that I used was running in my own box (1.6) 100% ok.
As I got the "black screen" on boot up with the new chip in the 1.6b I decided to try this one.

It worked in a fashion. (hangups etc) so i flashed it with plus16.
much improvement but certain hangs, then as above.

do I need to

1. put x3.0.2 onto 1&2
2.then put plus 16 onto 3&4

help appreciated, thanks

You can *try* putting FlashBIOS 3.0.3 on Bank 1 512k and Evox M*plus 16 on bank 2 512k....

The Yoshi BIOS isn't as good as M8plus16 IMHO....

banks 1&2 flashbios v3.03
banks 3&4 M8plus16 (evoX version)

Runs sweet as, no lockups or freezes. yoshis did not work at all!

Played 4 hours straight today, reckon its sussed

USB Xtractor for Drives?

I am planning to flash a friends xbox 360 and then his friend too. They have a Liteon and a Benq. can i flash all the benqs and liteons. has anybody tried all the liteon drives and benq drives.

all drives can be flashed. It's if you have the kit and the skills for the liteons is the limiting factor!
83850c v2 or later require some soldering to obtain a full fw dump.
