I'm tryin to find out if there is a way to change the machinery color, other than just turning them off. I have a red/white themed xbox, and the green machinery throws it off, but it also looks weird with it off?

The ini file that comes with the bios contains all the settings laid out, default parms are in place. (If X2CL has any undocumented options not listed I don't know... I'm not trying to search for any.) What may be easier for you than trying to figure out (translate?) what each setting name may mean, try out one of the X2CL ini editing apps. You can find links in this post here - http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30656 I believe some of them provide a preview of what the end result will look like. Since I haven't toyed with the settings in some time I don't know exactly what the current batch of apps have to offer. Check them out, I have the feeling it's just what you need.

As listed in the post, be sure you are using an app that is compatible with the version of the bios you are using!

; ambient
colorFlubberScene1 = 3399CC
; diffuse
colorFlubberScene2 = 33CC00
; specular
colorFlubberScene3 = CCFFFF

What are those exactly? I haven't changed those colors yet. Don't wanna mess with something I don't know yet.

Well, they're just colors (RGB in hex) so if you do something goofy the worst that will happen is your bootup flubber animation will look like someone barfed on it.

These are three color components that are used in the startup animation, between the "X2 config live loading" and the Xbox "Xecuter rox my box!" screens. If memory serves they had previously only been one colorFlubberScene option in the earlier X2CL versions, the more recent broke it out into more granular components. From the ambient, diffuse and specular comments these must be lighting color controls. I haven't played around with them myself so I don't know how altering each one will change the look of the animation.

To learn more about them you'll need to do the same thing I may do in a bit, expiriment with them. As I said they're just color controls, changing these will not FRAG your box. (... he says confidently, setting himself up for trouble.)
