It's all there - follow the flashbios tutorial and make a BIOS CD using the required BIOS. You have a 1.0, so you download the X2 4983 BIOS and make a BIOS CD with it using the tutorials.

Have you actually read the FlashBIOS tutorial? Did you follow it exactly to make a BIOS CD? Did you actually remember to use the correct X2 / Evox BIOS to make it? Am I just wasting my time here trying to help someone who probably shouldn't even be trying something like this when his Mum and Dad won't let him use mIRC?

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS RIGHT HERE IN THE TUTORIALS. If you're still lost then go pay someone to do it for you.

OK, he was annoyed his 'box wouldn't work and I was annoyed that it took me about 20 actual rep points to get 11 rep points, so I spent all that time and effort helping about 20 people, and he just reduced it to 10 rep points in 5 seconds. I'll send you the jewel kit as soon as I recieve the money. When did you send the money? Did you package it up welll like I said to? No coins right, just notes well hidden?

i boxed it up put it in an envelope an folded it so its pretty much ok, it worked before. i did the same thing this time but it didnt work now

If not, then what happens when you try and flash from the CD/DVD?

im accually using a flash CD that I made according to the tutorial and it kept halting

1. What media are you using? You should be using CD-RW.
2. What exactly did it say? It didn't just say halting.

No Bios Found........ halting

ok - so you have 2 files on the CD-RW

BIOS.BIN
1DUMMY.BIN - (ideally a 100MB in size)

Make sure you burn it at the slowest speed. If your dummy file was called dummy.bin, then try as above - 1dummy.bin.

To test cd-rw's, burn them as an audio cd with just one track. If it doesn't work, the disc isn't compatible.

I've gone to the trouble to make a BIOS CD ISO for you:

http://www.xbox-guru.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/files/4983bioscd.rar

open with WinRAR and extract the ISO. Use Nero (Recorder / Burn Image) to burn to a CD-RW / DVD-RW at the slowest speed.

This works as I've already tested it.

DON'T FORGET TO HAVE YOUR CHIP SET TO UNPROTECT!!!!

What dvd drive do you have? I have posted a diagram that I did for you.
