Is there any other way to flash my bios

flashed my bios a long time ago, I think with the 4981, but now I want to flash it again. This because I recently have problems playing my new backed up games like pariah or forza, also, recently I modded a box for a friend (1.6, mine is a 1.3) which has the same dvd drive (samsung) and that xbox has no problems reading the same dvd. So I thought maybe a bios update would help.

Anyway, when I tried to start flashbios it just started my dash. So I think I ****ed something up during the first flash, probably I used a 1 mb bios instead of a 512 k. Can't recall.

Now I'm wondering if there's any other way to flash it, with out a programmer ofcourse. With the "Slayer Evox auto installer" I saw an option to flash the bios, problem there is that it doesn't have the latest bios. Maybe I can add a new bios to the Slayers iso?? Not sure..... Also I read about a hotswap, but I've no clue what that is...... and if that's applicable for me....

Download FlashX from Xbins.

You'll be able to flash to whatever bank you want.

yeah, get flashX.
first get/make a 512kb bios of whatever u want. you can even edit if you want (colors, X, ect)

put that bios in either c:\bios or e:\bios

load up flashX, load the bios from the folder, choose which bank u want to flash to and flash. you're done
