OK as you probaly all know, I'm going to have to get a new xbox. Now I'm guessing its going to be a 1.6, since thats all that are really stocked. So I will have to order a rebuild board and new pinheader. The problem lies here. I will want go get on live with my new xbox too. Now I am 99.9% sure that I backed up the EEPROM from my old xbox, that craped out. I also still have the 160GB HDD from that xbox too. Now if I sign onto live with the stock harddrive, and eeprom in my new xbox, and do an account recovery I should be fine right. Since the tag wasnt banned, and they don't marry the EEPROM info to the tag. Now 1-2 weeks later when my modding stuff arrives and I get my lovely X3 and 160GB hard drive installed and get the eeprom back. Will I be able to just flash the xbox with the old xbox EEPROM that WAS married to the 160GB,sign into live with a that old eeprom and not get banned? Since it will pretty much make my new xbox look like my old one.
Is this going to work.

It appears to make sense to me, the only thing i can think of is if you do an account recovery that may put your old eeprom on some sort of list that they check up on? Just a thought.
Another thought, why not just wait two weeks for your mod chip to arrive and access live straight off with your 160g drive?

Yeah, also theres a wolrahnaes lives like 20 minutes away from me, so I am gonna try go get a board and header off of him. Otherwise Live is addictive, so I'm gonna try my way.
Like Rookio said I would wait till you get the box all set up before you do a account recovery so that way you are 100% sure you'll not get banned.
