My 360 always runs nice and cool, with good cold air being brought into it. Yesterday, I shut my 360 off and turned it back on to see the Red Ring of Death....... i've had it for 4 weeks now, it's my first 360 ever. I shut it off, turned it back on, and it worked fine for 4 hours. I kept turning it off and on to get the RRoD but never did. How normal is this? Could the 3 red rings have been a different, randomly occuring error? Thanks!

yeah the RROD randomly dissappears and comes back but i would advise you to do the fix next time it comes back :|:D

the RROD is not a heating problem its nothing to do with it being to hot its the cheap solder microsoft used melts at a very low heat disconnecting the chips from the motherboard :| you need to do the x-clamp fix !! any other method can harm your xbox !! but u say youve only had it for four weeks so you are still under warranty but i am thinking your warranty is voided so u will need to do the fix ....... all parts can be bought from b&q/home depot for under £5/$10 !!

Interesting. It went away with the click of the power button, it was interesting. Don't you think it'd happen more often than once? Maybe it'll take awhile who knows lol

I'll do the x clamp fix once the RROD comes back and doesn't go away actually. This time it went away by restarting my 360. So the 3 red lights only signifies that ONE type of error? Couldn't have been ANYTHING else except that ONE thing?

P.S. I voided my warranty the day I got it, to see what DVD hitachi drive I had. ;) Not a wise choice but oh well
