Is this repair possible?

Just got a slim 360 from a garage sale and was looking over board and the r4d4 resistor is missing both pads are gone but the r4d5 reisistor is still intact. If possible to repair what size resistor and where to solder to since both pads are missing? Any help will be appreciated.

You can fix it but you will need to expose the trace and connect it there. Very small and you must be relatively skilled to do so.

was going to have some on do it just need to know where to reconnect sine both pads are missing nd what size resistor is needed.

Very Fixable, but as noted if you dont feel confident or lack the skill, best bet is to send it off to someone

I plan on sending out just need some kind of schematic showing the repair so the person doing the soldering has something to go by.

Yes that would be the reason the console does not boot on, I have fixed this issue before in the past id be happy to do it for you for a small fee if you live in the UK that is

You just need to use a fibre-glass pen to expose the trace either side, tin and solder. Anyone who does SMD repairs should be able to do this in about 10 mins.

Now if I am looking at this correctly does the r4d4 and r4d5 have a small trace in between and where does the small point on r4d4 (before it turns into the trace) go to . Sorry more of a visual person I guess, just want to get repaired properly.

if memory serves me correctly (it does, sometimes ) the via just above the r4d4 pad is where the trace comes up and there is a small trace between the 2 resistors... however, it's been some time since I've fixed one. lol

an easy way to check is to see if there's continuity between where the trace would cone into the side of the missing pad and the corresponding pad on the other resistor

So is the via point above the r4d4 pad a + or - when replacing the resistor need a new multimeter mine is junk sorry

resistors don't have polarity, so it can go on in any direction

It is most definitively fixable you need to get someone highly skilled to do this for you or its going to be a nightmare.

Is there any one in the Midwest willing to take a look at this. Unit was working fine on stock nand had the rgh going but I think with the resistor being solder to too many times fried it the console was getting 0010 and now wont turn on so I hope this will fix the power issue and get my rgh back up and running.
