This will probably sound pretty noobish
but here I go
Now I was always told "if something's not broke don't muck with it" but ive never been able to help myself.
I just want to confirm if I have this right, is this the correct procedure for flashing a flashed bios.
OK I have 1.6 with a X3 and I have 2914 on banks 1234... All is great
I want to flash the new 3029 to my X3, I was thinking I could put it on 5678 and keep 2914 on 1234. probably the safest way, incase i have problems with the new bios, is this what you do, or do you just write over the old one each time?
but then I thought what if I wanted to leave 5678 blank like from from factory "with just flashbois on it" for now and instead write over my 2914 on 1234 with 3029.
So would I boot off the back up bios then select banks 1234 while still in the back up bios, then do the flash from there, so it will flash banks 1234 with my new bios from the backup bios "using the backup flash bios"......
I assume that is what the back up bios is for.... is that correct or is there another way I should be handling this.
Thanks for your help
