an i got a soldering iron kit from ebay dont know what the power thing on it is thou .

my xbox dashboard is the latest and its a slim with hana chip if i need any thing else please tell me thanks wish me luck haha

You seem to have everything you need there, which board type does your console have?

i dont know what board it is is i cant tell the diffence on the diagram witch shows ither 9.6 volt or 12 volt or what ever the volt thing is and no i dont have any exp do you rekon itle be ok to practice on a sky + hd board as i dont have a spare xbox

If you only just got your soldering kit and have no experience then you will also need an old circuit board some thin wires and a few days practice before attempting the real thing.

I know people are keen but a couple of days practice will save you posting a help me post later and might save you the price of a console.

Open up your console and look at the points you need to solder. You'll find similar points on all sorts of PCBs. Pay special attention to the STBY_CLK point as that's a tricky one and can damage your console quite badly if you lift the trace

i agree with ball00 mate

deffo do a little practice first cos some of the points are very small you will be soldering to
and you short or move components then its strees and uphill from there

Some of the xbox motherboard points are more delicate than other Pcbs
Check your board revision using this guide.... Good Luck

May want to try one of the alternatives to not risk damaging the console.

Trinity Has the HANA chip but Corana haven't !

If you have a Slim....you can see the power rating on the back of the console near the serial
