RGH ISO and Content Folder / GOD Format

My question is about the Content Folder inside of some ISO games.

I know that some games come with 2 Disc. 1 of the Disc being a Content Disc. When I extract the ISO, I move the Content Folder to a Content Folder on HDD1. When I extract the ISO from the other Disc, I convert that to GOD format.

What I am wandering is, there are a few games that I notice that have a Content Folder inside of the Main Game ISO.

Do I need to move the Content Folder from this ISO to the Content Folder on HHD1, or can I just convert the Whole ISO to GOD format and this would include the Content Folder in the GOD Format?

I know it is a little confusing to explain, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It really depends on what is in the Content folder. You can use 360 Content Manager to see what it is. For most 2 disk games, the Content folder contains HD graphic upgrades or game info used to speed up loading times. The single disk games I see the most with a Content folder are compilation disks; bundles of XBLA games packaged in retail disk format. In these, the default.xex is kind of like a launcher for the smaller XBLA games. I've not had any luck using these type of games in extracted format (I believe the default.xex is hardcoded to look on the DVD drive for the XBLA games, but I could be wrong), and I've not tried GOD format, but I would think it would work. For these type games, I usually just copy the Content folder to my internal hard drive (the games are already unlocked), and don't use the ISO/GOD/Extracted at all. The games should then show up in FSD/M$ dash just like any other XBLA game. With this method, you miss anything in the default.xex launcher (although these are usually just a simple menu with some pictures or maybe a video preview), but you can usually save a little space on your hard drive. If you are going to use GOD format, I'd suggest ripping out all of the padding, because the games are usually quite a bit smaller than the size of the ISO.

Yea that is what I am doing right now, is ripping the ISO. What I do is Delete the $SystemUpdate Folder, then recreate the ISO Image again. Then convert that ISO to GOD. This is definitely saving some HDD Space so I can fit more games on there. Im just wandering if I need to extract the Contect Folders specifically out of the ISO and not put them in GOD format. The path is the normal Content>0000000000000000>(GameID)>(Files)... so thats my biggest question.

Im sure someone that uses GOD format has played an ISO with this kind of data in it. :)

Just an update: I formatted a bit of ISO Games to GOD Format, and moved them to the HDD. What I noticed is that, about 70% of the games in GOD format, would not work correctly. The games either would not load up, and freeze and reboot the xbox, or the game would start playing and then just reboot the xbox automatically. I deleted the games that were not working and just extracted the ISO and moved back to the xbox and the game works fine.

Has anybody else had this issue with GOD Format?

Thats weird... I know I am doing it correctly or else the other games would not work... And I know it is not a bad ISO because they all work if I just extract the ISO and move the files like that... IDK why it is doing that... ????

Why are you going to the trouble of ripping a disc to ISO, just to convert to GoD?

Did you attempt what I suggested and just insert the disc to see what it did? Did it ask you to install anything?
