Issues Burning W/ Vista, Media etc.

Issue: Games play inconsistently, sometimes it will play and sometimes it just says unplayable disc. I have had a few successful discs with xp but it seemed like it started when I switched to Vista, and to make things more confusing I also started using different media.

Here are my specs:

Hitachi Drive v47

Burners (tried both @ 1x & 2.4x): Pioneer 111d and an LG drive
Software(tried both): Imgburn & Clone cd
Media: PlayO & Memorex
Games: GOW, Splinter Cell, among others.

p.s. had a couple good verbatim & Memorex burns on XP, I have not tried verbatim on Vista.

the bottom line is, I dont want to be wasting media if its a software/hardware issue

Media: PlayO & Memorex

PlayO is absolute garbage and Memorex is iffy. I would definitely say it's a media issue. Get some Verbatim, I doubt it has anything to do with Vista/XP.
