Good Morning.

Recently received SX Pro, using a SanDisk 128GB microSDXC UHS-1, auto crm enabled.
Pretty up to date switch firmware, can check once my 6 year old get off Starlink !!

I have collated number of XCI files from various sources direct download via Dark Umbra and torrents.

My issue is various work fine, sonic mania, minecraft, starlink - I launch from album they then appear mounted on main home screen (horizon?) and i can start (I'm in flight mode so usually prompted with download or start software option, just select start software and its fine).

A number of other games Donkey Kong, Minecraft Story, Zelda prompt me to insert game card and I can't load (or mount)?

Is there any reason for this or have I just found some XCI files that don't work correctly, the game logos all pop up nicely on the album menu.

any help appreciated - Dave.

thanks - I am mounting (selecting from Album menu) then running from main home menu and fine for selected games.

other games when I try to select from album menu I get a "the game card could not be read, please remove and reinsert it" error.
click ok through error and back to album menu.

I'll assume something wrong with certain XCI files and look for another source.

I get a "the game card could not be read, please remove and reinsert it" error.
I got that on a few games once. The problem occurred because I initiated an FTP transfer to the microSD card, and then changed the TV mode to HDMI to watch Netflix while waiting, which caused the connection to abort abruptly even though sleep mode was turned off. Basically, the files were only partially copied, and therefore corrupt. I had to delete the .XCI files that produced the error and try again. When I re-copied them over everything worked perfectly.

In your case, it's likely corruption. Either they were corrupted when they were transferred to the microSD card (in which case deleting and trying again should fix it) or it was corrupted when you ripped and/or trimmed it (in which case you need to do it again) or you downloaded it from somewhere and the download was incomplete (in which case you need to download it again or if the source was already corrupt download it from somewhere else).

Personally, I think this type of problem much less serious than games than need to be updated.

The .XCI games could be corrupt. I had the same issue and downloaded and now they work. From where you are getting the .xci?

Glad (cough) you find a solution to rip-off the games without dumping them. -- But please I must remind everyone, outright discussion of piracy is not recommended on this forums, and no linking or hints to sources for these 'xci's' out there in wild jungles of internet.
