SAMSUNG MS25 Issues with MS25

Looking to flash an MS25 back to stock so that I can update the dashboard to the latest.

I was able to get the drive into vendor mode read the dvd key inject it with the post 13141 firmware. I injected the stock firmware with the dvd key and wrote it to the drive.

Everything appears to be good with the flash when I pop the usb stick in there with the latest dashboard I get the E66 error message screen.

I am not sure what my next step would be I have tried it twice successfully extracting the dvd key from the drive and writing it successfully with the stock firmware.

I am obviously missing a step somewhere any help would be appreciated...

Here is the firmware currently on the drive after my write to stock:

It does say MS28 but in the firmware package there appears to be only one firmware present for post 13141.

I had to do this on a few of my consoles, I still never figured out exactly how to fix it, generally I just swap the system out rather than muck about with it. If you still have the original drive firmware, flash that back then update, then re-flash to the latest iXtreme. Seem to remember that fixing it for some bizarre reason, I don't know if that's what actually did fix it but it's worth trying.

I am thinking the spoofing even on the stock is causing the issue...

I don't have my hands on the original stock firmware from the MS25 hmmmm..

I had the same thing a while back and used a stock drive of the same flavor with a bad laser put it in just long enough to finish the update, and then put the flashed drive back in, fixed it right up.

Excellent I will try to get my hands on a stock MS25 firmware I might try the one in the PRE 13141 folder.

Was able to track down the stock firmware for the MS25 applied that...updated the dash successfully...flashed to LT and it works.

Which MS25 FW did you use, original or the pre-13146 from the stock pack? Just curious for my own knowledge as I think I'm going to have to do this to someone's console in a few days.

The one I did I had a blade dash Sammy drive with bad laser I used and it was the 14719 dash that jacked it up.

I used the MS25 stock firmware posted on the ixtreme forum.
