Issues with powerless usb hdds???

I just wondered if there was any known issues with running usb hdds that are powered only by usb without external powersource necessary? Ive been asked to fit one on a Jtag and wasnt sure but knew where to ask

Also (save wasting another thread!),whats the situation with Jtags on latest dash,is spoofing out of the question or was that "removed unimportant stuff" (hoping...).

There should be no problem with 2.5" HDDs, however some come with a dual USB connector in case it needs more power.

As for spoofing, it's not an issue. JTAG consoles have patched out AP2.5 checks.

You can always change the OSIG on the NAND to match the new drive and do away with it altogether..
