i just installed my Xecuter 3 today and i had it booting and working just fine, then one time i went to restart my xbox and it never turned on again. it will boot up to the stock xbox bios perfectly its just when i try and boot with my mod chip, my tv wont get a signal until about when the flubber animation would be over and then the signal is all black. the FTP server is still up and i am able to move files so i tryed restoring the hdd to its original state but that did nothing. i also tried holding the eject and power buttons, then reflashing the bios. again, no difference. the only thing i can imagine is that my xecuter is fryed but i have no idea how that would happen, especially because i was too lazy to solder so i just used an Xapt3r. do i need a new chip? should i just let it sit the night, maybe it overheated? i have no idea, any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like bad connection on pins 13 & 14 .
did u have to solder/desolder any of the lpc area before fitting the Xapt3r?

if so the flux on the board will make for bad connecions...get xapt3r off and clean board where the pins press down with alcohol (Ethanol or meths).

make sure Xapt3r sits perfectly flat.

i checked pins 13 AND 14 AND THE... WOAH CAPS... thats better....

so yeah i checked pins 13 and 14 and they arent physically damaged. i did not have to do any soldering or desoldering when fitting the xapt3r and the mobo is clean. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the modchip and xapt3r and it still doesnt work. the only way i can boot to the mod chip is if i hold the power and eject button and then it loads to the bios loader. i have tried reinstalling new bios and it didnt help. basically the only thing that my mod chip can do right now is set up an FTP server and lock/unlock hdds. everything through the stock bios still works. if anyone has any other ideas i would love to hear them becuase im up to anything right now, i just dont want to have to buy a new mod chip.
