Ithink i messed up my motherboard.Help?

I tried to install x3+xapter+front control panel. everything was fine at first. i booted up and got the flas bios screen. first i flashed it with v303 with switches 1 and 2 on.
(3 and 4 off). xbox shut off. i turned back on and i got the flash bios screen again, so i decided to flash again, this time when i flashed i accidentally had all switches off and i also accidentally flashed v303 v16plus. i know i screwed up bad. now i can hear the ms dash boot but i cant see anything(audio but no video). i assumed it was probably the xapter so i made sure it was sitting on the lpc correctly.well, the whole time i have been working on this thing i have been using a magnetic screwdriver. now i cant get the xbox to do anything but frag. i even took the chip and xapter out and the panel out and the normal xbox wont boot, it just frags. this is what led me to believe that i did something to my motherboard. i am going to put another motherboard in tomorrow without the magnetic screwdriver! but i need to know what i need to do from there. ohh, i am pretty sure my box is a 1.4 or 1.5, it is a halo edition and has the focus video chip.

when you say "xapter" I assume you meant xapt3r, which is compatible with X3 chip. It sounds like you somehow shorted out your current board and so once you install a new board and reinstall your pin header and chip and so on, you can do one of two things. You can press power and eject buttons at the same time until your X3 logo on the control panel switch turns purple to get to backup flashbios. Leave your switches on positions [on on off off off]. Otherwise if you have not touched your 5678 banks [off on off off off], flashbios should also be there. Make sure to use the appropriate hacked X3 bios version for your xbox version.

BTW, The problem that you initially had was you simply reflashed flashbios. Additionally when you said "v303 v16plus" I assumed you reflashed flashbios to version 3.0.3. What you need is to download hacked X3 bios from #xbins. Please read: http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php.

if you touched any of the main components with the magnetic screwdriver such as the video chip you probably would have screwed it that way. chips are sensative to static an magnetic fields as such.

when you say 5678 banks{off, on off, off, off} the fourth "off", is that the protect? i have the x3 control panel with the buttons on the front. i thought there was only 1234 banks. and what if i touched the x3 chip itself with the screwdriver? the motherboard that i have now, i think it is an older board because the lpc holes are full of solder, will the xapt3er still work with that?

ok, i installed my other motherboard, i plugged up my hdd, and dvd rom, i did not put in the x3 chip. xbox loaded up fine, but i got the error screen with code 05. i looked it up and it says that my hdd is unlocked and the normal xbox has to load from a locked hdd. i may have unlocked my hdd from the flash bios screen. supposedly if the chip is installed i will still be able load uo, right? ohh and i looked on # xbins and i didnt see a hacked bios, but there is one that says, "x3_bios_works_on_x3_chip_only" it is not a rar or a bin file and it is 0kb. is that it? i really appreciate the help you guys have given me BTW.
