So its been a few years since I've been in the community and a lot has changed. My question is can the new xbox 360 models (the newest ones in store) be modded/ JTAG like the older PHATS/Old Slims. Is there a way to identify the board on the new systems? Any information would be appreciated

no if its the ones that come with 500g hard drive they have Winchester motherboards , I believe anything before 8/2013 and below can be rghed and phat 360 can be rgh , wouldn't bother tho with xenon as there good for dvd retrieval only
If i remember right, I think they started to put winchester about 5/2014 and in 4gb models about 8/2014. Be careful before buying. There is also quite good comparison video in Winchester thread how to spot winchester without disassembling console. It's called "alaplap" or something like that.
