this was such a drama

after puting the chip in, it not working, taking it on a big drive each way, and then having the guy say "oh it was a really neat install, all was wrong was two points that dident have enough solder on them, 190 bucks".
and then puting windows me on my computer cause the network card is not compatable with 98se, it managing to reformat the whole hard drive, i have seperete partions btw, all my stuff gone, including the auto install.
now i only have a dial up 56k so it took awhile. It sat there for a week while i f**ked around tring to get it to work and reading all the stuff i could on the fourms.
after all the problems i had with it it's going at last, except for the ftp. Im sure i have done everything corectly the xbox ip is 192.168.1.200 and pc is 192.168.1.100, i have the right cable now, crossover yeh. the LAN light on the X3 is on, my PCI card is flashing, but it wont connect.

help would be good...
i really wanna get this working as it would be cool to get my save games and my tunes of the stock harddrive.

Oops I see you said FTP, what FTP package are you using, I could never get the command prompt to work, but FlashFXP works fine on mine.

HTTP connnect, i dunno what that is
i have gone into My Network Places put in the ip address and dns servers that it says on the xbox. I have a folder in my net work places with the ip 192.168.1.200, is that right.
the network setings in evox says 100/Full duplex but the ip up top in blue is 0.0.0.0, before i had the work cable and nothing came up at all. I dunno about this network card i might swap PCI slots around and see if that changes anything

HTTP is the web interface that the X3 has, you should be able to type in the ip in IE, Netscape, etc.

I have a router so the IP's are assigned, by it via DHCP. Also note that X3 has its own FTP server, as does Avalaunch, try getting the X3 FTP working first.

it comes straight out of the computer and into the xbox via crossover cable, as for x3 ftp it's all the same, no connection. i have been messing round all week trying everything and each different software combination it always says no connect.

I am afraid I would suggest a cheap router they make life so much easier, and will allow you to connect more than one thing. Also note that in side of X3 and Avalaunch you will need to assign you box an IP, and turn off DHCP if you are not using it.

Jtag/Nand X

Hello All,

Jus sat down this evening to jtag and xell my box, wen soldering the quick pcb boards from the nand x i forgot to turn my soldering iron down and bollixed one of the solder points on the jtag board shown in red circle on the pic below.

Checkin the tracks on the bottom of the pcb board it seemed be simply goin to the pin out for the yellow wire so i soldered a piece of wire between the point on the motherboard of the xbox directly to the pin out connector on the pcb board, shown in blue in the pic below.

Now wen i try and dump i keep gettin bad dumps, no errors through out the dump but bad results in 360 flash tool wen i import my nand to it.

Anyone any ideas as to wats goin wrong? Wud it be the jtag side of things or is the nand reading and independant thing from the jtag at this stage?

Any help greatly appreciated as always
