I'm a freaking moron. I flashed my Xbox v1.6 with the non 1.6 3029 bios in bank 1234. Now when I turn on my xbox it just reboots twice and stays on the 3rd time with no display. I've tried booting to the backup bios by holding in eject and power but no display. Have I just cooked my X3?

try booting to a different bank on your bios. you should get the another flashbios, select the x3 3029_v16 and you should be able to load up the new bios.

You could be in deep sh*t. Since you have v1.6 xbox, you need flashbios 3.0.1 or 3.0.0 to flash properly. Flashbios 3.0.3 would not work. If you are lucky enough to have the older version of X3 (purple ones), then there is a chance flashbios 3.0.0 or 3.0.1 is located in your 5678 banks. Set your switches to off on off off off and boot up. If get the mentioned flashbios version, then flash with 16plus bios version.

btw, if you were successful in flashing your x3 bios. Make sure to update your backup bios.

Just have a thought. Make sure to use stock a/v cable when you do this otherwise you won't see anything. If you are using a stock a/v cable then try my suggested option.
