I have a Xbox v1.0. I have a Thompson Disk Drive. I've succefully installed my Xecuter 2.6 Lite, by wire installation. I turn the chips switch to on and powered up the xbox. I get the flashbios 3.0.1 screen in blue and the following options:

Enable Network Flashing
Load BIOS From HDD
Load BIOS from Disc
Unlock HDD
Lock HDD

What is my next step to unlocking my Xbox's potential? What do these menus do? I want to set up EvoX dashboard so I can copy my games onto my hard drive.

1st you flash the bios i presume you know what bios you want to install. Do you have a programer or are you instaling the bios via a burnt disc? there are links in the main room showing you step by step guides to do so in both ways i have descibed.Once you have installed bios then move onto the next step "putting evox dash on your box" hope this has helped

I haven't installed anything yet (just the chip). I believe my chip is preflash with flashbios 3.0.1. Do I re-flash with another bios? If I have to, then I'm going to do it via burnt dics.

I went to the tutorial on flashbios. It just said that if I installed my chip correctly, I will get this screen.
Enable Network Flashing
Load BIOS From HDD
Load BIOS from Disc
Unlock HDD
Lock HDD
Nothing about what to do now.

Ok....well thanks for the links. Still I have a problem!
I've burned up almost all disks trying to make the X2_bios. It still won't read it. I have a thompson disk drive. I've added dummy space (about 500MB) and I'm using memorex highspeed cd-rw 12X 700MB 80min disks.
Is it my media? Does my bios.bin and dummy.bin have to be an XISO? In the tuturial posted below, it looks like they are.

After I get this bios onto my Xbox I should be good to go.

1. Have you connected your PC to your Xbox via a crossover cable (or network switch/hub/router)?

2. Have you set the PC NIC Address to 192.168.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 ? If you have a router with DHCP, you don't need to change the address.

This is simple TCP/IP networking - if you've never done this before, check the stickys for help and the rest of the internet for basic guides.
