I found this on another Forum...
"I just bought a Sony Optiarc 5280S-CB-PLUS from amazon. It has native overburn support!! I popped it in the pc and tossed in a memorex blank and tried and xgd3
image and it started the burn right away. did not ask to truncate or overburn or anything. Will let you guys know how it turned out"
"SUCCESS!
Tried 3 games so far, 1 of which is forza 4 which gave me tons of problems no matter what i did and others that randomly froze.
Not a single issue!!
I guess you can go ahead and add this drive to the list however it does not need to be reflashed it works straight out of the box."
So does this mean this is working fine? Even with cheap Media??
I noticed that the burner is a Archival burner.. So it will have the highest burn quality and has some build in stabilization.
