Hi guys, I have 3 Liteon iHas124-06 B drives, all are flashed to the respective ixtreme burner Max firmware successfully.
Now in the default settings in epprom, all the disc will burn successfully but verfication will always fail at 50%.
I have tried with both cheap and Verbatim MKM 001 media, both will fail at 50% and also with all the settings and tweak's that was posted here in TX forums were also tried by me without any success. So after wasting about 20 odd cheap media and about 10 verbatim's I have no choice currently but to burn my disc via the truncation method on another LG writer that I have.
Now the real catch is here.... My two friends also bought the exact same drive from the same shop, flashed their drive and without any tweaks they are able to write and verify all their cheap disc's(same one's that I also used) perfectly and all games are running without any issues on their and my console too.
The only difference I was able to find was chipset, I am using the latest Z68 chipset and they both have old intel 945 chipset. So this prove's that the problem is not because of the disc quality but because of the chipset compatibility with the drive. So there is definitely some issue with the firmware causing this issue which I hope will soon be rectified by the C4eva.
And yes I also tried swapping my friend's drive with mine, so now my drive on my friends pc writes xgd3 perfectly with 100% verified and his drive on my pc will again fail, so this also proves that the drive's are perfect without any issues in them.
I hope TX and C4eva will look into this issue so all the people who are facing this issue will get their problem's solved.
