iXtreme Burner Max Problem?

Hello there, im hoping someone can help me because im confused.. Anyways ill explain alittle so you can understand, First off i've backup all my Games and have alot, I also fix peoples xbox's and managed to get afew for my self so i have afew, The discs i use are cheap ones "pack 25 for £8" but i've tested all my games on alot of xboxs and Everyone works ace, ALso burnt my XGD3 like batman and I didn't have Burner max FW so i had to overwrite little at end, But batman works ace all my games including XGD3 work, Then i learned I could flash my dvd burner with Burner max etc, I was all perfect, I can now burn games 100% but every game ive backup since then always has a problem, SOme xboxs manage play alittle, Some freeze at start, and some dirty disc error, Why is it suddenly doing this once I flash my Burner? ive done alot of stuff and Wasted alot of discs and nothing, Even ticked "perform OPC" and still nothing, burn is great but game isn't

Also tried Ripping the Image off the disc using the burning i burnt the disc, It comes up L-EC uncorrectable error

its because you are using bad media

media that is bad around the edges, where burner max fw writes

ummm, then could you explain this to me please.. If i burn Saints row 3 on without Burner max, It over writes the last 1.6% and game still works fine, I burn it with Burner Max which burns the last 1,6% and The entire game doesnt work? odd..

Anyways, is it hard Flash back my FW? i backed it up like it said in the tutorial, is it hard to go back? i dont play online so i'd profer play a game missing 1.6% then burn full game and it not work, This close to christmas I can't affoid buy new discs

Buy verbatims 85p each job done, buy crap media waste 1 in 5 with new method, you asking for help and you won't get much unless your using the right tools

i use memorex and kodak disc burning @ 4x ( 2.4x doesn't work for me) with these settings and have had no coaster if i install game to hdd

0.As in iXtreme Burner Max official tutorial, turn on Tools -> Settings -> Write -> Perform OPC Before Write


1.Select "Write image file to disc" as usual.


2.Click "Advanced Settings" button in bottom right corner.


3.Open Lite-On panel in Advanced Settings. It is required to click the individual "Change" button if you changed any setting item and a "Success" message will pop up to confirm the change.

- Turn on Online HyperTuning


- Turn on SmartBurn


- Turn off OverSpeed


- Optionally turn on or off Force HyperTuning according to your disc quality (I set this to ON)

I had poblems with games freezing at certain points using memorex discs at 4x speed because the burner wouldn't allow me to burn any slower. I used MediaCodeSpeedEdit to change the firmware and be able to burn the same discs at 2.4x. No problems since. The program is free. If u need any help with it just pm me, or search the forums, someone posted a short tut not too long ago.

I agree that Verbatims are the BEST quality, but in alot of areas they are the most expensive too. To expensive to be practical for most. I also used the media code program and I have been able to use memorex discs without any issues. Obviously as stated in the responses, Verbs are the ideal way though.
