J-R Programmer Will not work

I bought a J-R Programmer off of modchipcentral a few days ago. took it out of the package plugged it into my computer and the light turns on but nothing happens. I cant use the drivers cause it doesnt show up at all, not device manager, anything at all. The switch is set so the light is green like its supposed to be, it goes red too if i move the switch. Ive tried this on my laptop which is running windows 8. The laptop did the same thing for my demon. nothing would show up but the chip was getting power. tried on my desktop running windows 7 and it still doesnt work, exact same thing as the laptop. i used the demon on my desktop and it did connect. Then i dug up an old computer from my basement, which is running windows xp professional. Still didnt work.
Someone tell me what to do here please, if it would just detect i could figure it out on my own but i cant figure out why it isnt working...
Sorry i forgot to say this is a J-R Programmer v1.1. I didnt get the v2 because everywhere was out of stock and i was impatient.

I've read that a few times before this, I don't understand how I can install the drivers. I have downloaded them off this site and I have J-Runner with the driver folder. I can't manually choose driver software for the jr programmer because it doesn't get detected by the computer. Nothing, not unknown device in device manager or anything absolutely nothing. How can I install the driver software without having the jr programmer plugged into the computer

Have you tried a different usb cord?

Just tried that, that was a really good idea I thought that would work lol but it didn't. Still nothing shows up no loading, sound, anything on device manager. Green led on the chip just turns on

Yeah I guess I'll be doing that if I can't figure it out. Ive just got the mini USB running from the jr programmer to the computer via USB port. I've also tried all the ports on all the different computers. It might be micro USB, I can't remember which ones which, but it's the one that fits the jr programmer for sure. It draws power from the computer, lights up green or red depending on switch setting so all that is working properly. I just wish i could get the drivers installed but without device manager seeing it in the computer at all there's no way to get the driver files in there, there just pointless files on the computer as of now with no way to install them. I think I'm going to buy another cord just so that I can say I really tried everything. It works for the demon just not the jr so I really don't think it's the cord but whatever I'll try anyway. I'll let you guys know what comes of it, if it's the cord just for whatever reason not enjoying the jr programmers company or if the chips faulty and i have to get a new one. Thanks for your guys time though!
