Guys - Xecuter products are all covered under warranty. Contact the reseller and get them to check it over. If it's faulty, they should replace it for you.

I'm hopefully getting a faulty one shortly so will be able to see if I can work out which part goes.

Have you tried dumping with NandPro v3?

Do a test dump (nandpro usb: -r1 nand.bin) and if you get a Flash Config of 00023010 and a valid NAND output, then your soldering isn't the issue.
done this and it says

looking for usb interface device
can not continue

what is the meaning?

It should be covered if it's only 6 months old.

Are both lights on when you connect the NAND-x?

The message you get is either communication between the PC and NAND-x, or NAND-x and console. If you have the device showing in device manager, it's not the first one.

If you are able to write to the coolrunner via the NAND-X, and you can see it in device manager...then chances are its either the wiring from the motherboard to the nand-x, or it is the board itself.

If the nand is not getting the proper standby power, you're not going to be able to read it.

If the wires are not solid, you will not be able to read it.

From the sound of it, you're having a driver issue since it's looking for the USB interface and then cancelling itself out.

ok, would it be able to read a nand off another mobo with just a QSB installed?
If you can read the NAND off of another motherboard, then it's your wiring...

If it does the same thing on multiple boards, then I'd say it's a driver issue.

Since it's not detecting a USB device, but the NAND-X is showing up in the device manager, then I would think that it's not configured to point to the NAND-X as the USB device.

no thats what i mean, I've installed a another QSB on another mobo and still nothing.

and tryed dumping the nand off a already done where the nand x wires are still soldered in place and also the same.

I'm 95% sure thats it not my soldering at its 3 different mobos.

Driver seems to be installed on this new PC, driver enforement is off. I've trolled the internet and resoldered and been at this all day.

giving up hope now
