RGH J-Runner Detects Wrong MB Type!!!

I got one Arcade (Jasper). System info shows it has 265MB Internal Memory, but J-Runner detects as a 512MB Board

Let me explain my problem

I have dumped the nand (64MB) and setup coolrunner. CB is 6751 with dash 14699. But coolrunner glitching but no xell. Sometimes glitching stop like working but no xell. So somewhere i read to erase total nand and just put ecc image into nand. now I am confused what should be the nand size. I tried to dump full nand but after middle of reading it gives continues reading error.

I have faced similar problem with 4 jasper and could't find any solution. I tried with CR rev B & C with bridge capacitor and every possible combination but NO LUCK!

If I'm not mistaking, the MB type is detected by flashconfig. So I suppose that the JR detects correctly.

If you have 256 MB free, most probably you have BB 512 MB, as the dashboard files have around 200-250 MB, occuping the rest of the space (thus resulting 250 MB free).

Erasing total nand and writing only the first 50 blocks seems a bad ideea, as the first RGH problems on Jasper is mainly wiring position, soldering and capacitor tuning. How did you erase it? Between what blocks?

dont eraze your nand- this is a bad idea that will solve nothing

It doesn't matter either way. There is no difference between 256 and 512 images. XeLL should boot on both if built for a BB Jasper.

First I don't believe J-runner is giving wrong information. My this motherboard is showing weird information about memory. I have checked from systeminfo which shows 114 mb free. I have formatted the internal memory still its 114MB!!!. I did lots of RGH. I have checked my solder so many times with continuity check. if my solder is wrong then CR Should not glitch. its glitching perfectly but no luck! I believe I have one Martin's Stubborn Jasper!!! I am doing it once again..

I have had a 256 come in and Jrunner say 512 it said capacity 240mb in nxe formatted it and whala it poped to 512


So try format it in nxe first

If it's stopped flashing and no display, resolder CPU_PLL_BYPASS. You'll need to trim the excess wire off the end first. You should have no more than 1-1.5mm of bare wire. Then relocate the wire itself so it has no interference.

Ok First thing after 10 times formating I got 450GB free. So My First problem has been solved! I have to change the heading of this thread. J-Runner detects perfectly

Now The frustrating part!!!

Side by side I have two Jasper 512 BB (CB 6751). Both are having same problem. They start glitching then after 5/6 glitch it stop like working. but no xell. I have resolder CPU_PLL_BYPASS 3/4 times. even reroute the cable. how its possible in two motherboard!!!! In the mean time I just RGH another Falcon which working fine. Please help me

Really Interesting...

I haves tried many ways but that two jasper 512 BB never wake up (No XELL)
in the mean time I need two more 512 BB and one 16MB Jasper. Working great. Believe me last three cases CR glitched perfectly in first try. Even I did not change or reroute the cable. Now I have all the boards. Now I am planning to make a identifying system of stubborn Jasper. from where should I start ? or its not possible ?? well just to mention one thing last three Jasper was 6750 CB which are working perfectly.

Ok when you read your NAND in Jrunner do u see a split CB

You said you moved the pll_bypass...
Can you repost pic of that you shouldn't have it under the xclamps too much interferance from all the caps and res under cpu and gpu this will cause it to freeze. Which might be your case
