I just got my j-tag not to long ago, and everything was all gravy.. Decided to install the latest dash/dashlaunch 2.23b..

everything was working for a while. but now sometimes well not sometimes, most of the time when i go to load games it just restarts, like it fails..both when i try to boot it with FSD and XEX..... but the emulators and all that works, and original disks work,,

so do you think its the Usb hdd, or what?

Try reinstalling DashLaunch and see if the problem is fixed then.

Also, what have you assigned to Button A ?

And, when you reinstall DashLaunch, then remember to enable the Content Patch, OK?

Ok i did all that.. Installed new dash launch 2.24. and it still happens when i try to play games.. It was playing games fine.. Does it matter if my Usb get its power from the xbox? or should i use one that has its own power?

Is it running version 13599? Maybe try turning regionspoof off?
If that doesn't work, try starting from a fresh freeboot flash, install avatar update, install dashlaunch with minimal settings in the launch.ini, and restore your current launch.ini file. In between each step try your game(s). Where it stops working is your issue. If it works all the way through then problem solved, haha.

Ohh yeah, USB drive with or without it's own power shouldn't be an issue. Couldn't hurt to try the other ports though...
