J1B1 Male to female lead?

Hi i was just wondering if anyone knew if its possible to purchase a J1B1 male to female cable? If so could they tell me where from.

I saw on another site someone had a managed to get hold of a J1B1 female socket. The type that solders into the actual motherboard itself. Can these be obtained too and if so... is it possible to use one of those to plug in the male end. Then the other pins that come out of the other side which would normally be soldered onto the board. Could another dvd power cable be simply connected onto those pins to create an extension cable which can be disconnected at any time?

The purpose for my need to have a male to female DVD Power cable is that i want to extend the power cable inside the xbox but have the extention connection point near the outside of the case so i can manually disconnect it at any time and power the DVD from an external source.

I hope I have explained all this well enough and I hope someone can help or advise me.

The xdrive doesnt do what im talking about. I want a simple connector which converts from male to female. Or a cable by itself that does the same.

So you just want a Long power lead that will reach to the outside of the Xbox?

No i dont want a long cable. I want a connector that can connect 2 dvd power cables together

So lets get this right.

You are after an extension lead for the drive male to female.
I have sockets but they are pcb mount.

How long do you want it?

You have the J1B1 dvd power cable sockets which solder onto the motherboard? Can you use those to simply connect 2 dvd power cables together? If so where can I get them from please?

Youre basically saying that you have a connector thats able to link 2 of those connectors together? If so is this connector safe or does it need insulating tape wrapped arround the link etc?

If you do have any of these connectors then I will be very interested and if you could let me know the Price of each one and pm me ill try to sort out some payment to you.

I have female sockets yes.
You would have to solder them together to make a joiner but that would be easy.

I will look at sticking two together for you tomorrow.
