What have you done to the console before this? Was it working before you started soldering on it? It may be time for you to post a request for service with more information.
i personally havent soldered to it yet... there was tons of flux which i removed and went on to test the points
So it has been messed with before. Without the full story of what has happened and pics there's not much that anyone can do to help. Is it on stock nand? You say it boots but does nothing. Best bet would be find someone to look at it for you that does repairs.
The console boots but does nothing? What do you mean by that? You say you haven't soldered to it yet so I'm assuming its not modded? Post some pics of the area you have a concern about.

If the console doesn't work, you can't RGH/JTAG it. Get it fixed first, then come back.
