Hello, I continue the thread opened before for my console that initially had a problem by not booting retail image, but booting ok the R-JTAG image. I rechecked all the soldering and I found out a pin on NAND-X QSB not soldered correct. I fixed this and now the console is booting ok the retail image, really quick. Unfortunately now the console is not booting anymore the R-JTAG image :frown:. I tried to write again the flash on Demon with same result.. not booting... I re-flashed the Demon with retail image and it is ok, booting ok as the XBOX retail image. I also found that the console is not booting anymore on XELL when I tried to write again the Demon with R-JTAG.
Bellow are the pictures from the console:

It might be a issue with your cr4 xl install. It could be your cpu rst wire. It has too much exposed wire on it and may be touching the pad next to it too.

Post your log's too.

Did you try erasing the demon nand and reflashing your hacked image again? Is the cr4 Xl debug light blinking still?

Did you try writing with the advanced/ demon fusion write function? Any bad blocks in your nand.

Hi Guys,

Please find bellow the log files for writing the r-jtag image on demon.
I tried several time to rewrite the r-jtag image with same result. Instead, the retail image is written ok on the demon as well as on the xbox.
No bad blocks, no errors.

Thanks!

No, is not flashing green light.
I'll recheck once again the wiring. As I said previously the console booted ok before resoldering one pin on the smallest NAND-X QSB (at that time the console booted ok r-jtag image but no retail ones.. now it is opposite.. booting retail every time and no more r-jtag).

I'll come back after recheck. Thanks!

I have a few tips for you. This may not help you at the moment but it will help you in the future:
Use Flux when soldering, it will make the joints wet together in a way that is hard to accomplish without Flux.
Do not overheat the solder, or hear it more than necessary since it will weaken it's function. This can be seen as a gray matte Finnish with unsmooth shapes. If you really need to reflow a joint, use a debraid to suck some solder off and apply a small amount of fresh solder.

Thank you stucknvegas and antalpromille for tips. I actually used flux, but not the gel ones (I didn't found it at that time, now I ordered one), but one with adhesive I believe (it was more like a solid paste). I'll rework some points. I have also desoldering braid. I'm just a beginner in soldering but I have a lot of patience and I tried to be really careful.

Sounds like your 5v,gnd or combo of wires is messed up on the cr4 xl if the debug light isn't working. Also you should update the fw to 1.04 on your demon.

Thank you metalfun, I'll check again the wiring. Could you please tell me how to update fw to 1.04 on demon? I tried from JRunner but it gives me an error - bad file. I downloaded the fw update, but I'm not sure the right path in order to update it. Thanks!

Load the firmware file in j-runner, like you would your nand dump, and hook the demon up to the computer, click write nand, and j-runner will handle the rest. There is also an option in the demon menu in j-runner for firmware updates. Either option will work.

And all this and more could be read in the DemoN section of the forum, and probably also in the manual for jrunner if OP bothered to search for it.

Hi guys, I resolder some point and now the console boots again the r-jtag image, but unfortunately I'm back on the previous problem, not booting the retail image on xbox. I succeed also to update the Demon firmware to 1.04. Any suggestions for retail booting? Thanks!
