hi ...
dis is da 2'nd Jasper 16m ... da 1'st one works fine after adding the (cap) came with coolrunner bundle and doing some routing to back wires (using F2R2 alternative) ...
dis one boot fast without using da (cap) ... but freeze on dashboard loading !
i did every thing like i did for da 1'st jasper, using same apps ... same wires routing ! but still get freeze !
any suggestions ?

btw:
1- does the cap only used to improve da glitch time .. or can help me to get rid of this freeze ?

2- if i use Electro-Magnetic shielding, does it get rid of (interference) caused by rgh wires 4ever ?? i mean could i route da wires wherever i need as they r shielded ? any one tried this ?

My translator threw a spaz when it tried to read your post.

Any chance you could post in English?
hahaha ... sorry i was so busy ... and still !
but, any way ... i will try to edit my post a little :

hope u got me this time :)

i will do when i get home .... but, till i post my wiring, can u answer my 2 questions ?
u wont need pictures to do ;) lol
Capacitor does not cause freezing, only improves boot times.

Freezing is mostly due to wire inteference. Keep wires apart and shielded.

I run my CPU_RST wire along the edge of the PCB nearest the fans now. Reduces the chances of freezing.

BTW, too much capacitance on CPU_PLL_BYPASS can cause freezing issues too.

Fit the cap as a last resort. Wiring will have more to do with timing.

ok ... this is my wiring ...
also i notice somthing :
when i added the cap (1'st Jasper) it improves the boot time without drive ... but when i connect the drive the boot time become slow ! ... so, i ended it without connecting the drive (working jst fine now without drive and with cap connected) ...

this one (my 2'nd Jasper) boots fine without the cap ... but when i disconnect the drive, the boot time become slow !!! o_O lol ... but freezes on dashboard loading !

it sounds like a puzzle !!
should i connect the cap ? ... but i afraid it caused slow boot time when i connect the drive like my 1'st Jasper !!

note: am having problem to directly attach m pics ... so, i used my fb ...

You could try putting tape underneath each wire, so wires doesnt touch the motherboard. You can do that without having to desolder them.

Really. Didn't know that. Thanks Martin:)
u should thank me too, u wont know that without my post ;) lol

i think am gonna try this first !
I run CPU_RST topside now, following the edge of the board nearest the fan. Seems to work well so far.
although i don't like de-soldering, gonna do it, if every thing else didn't help ...

thnx guys ... gonna post later with any update

The BB Jaspers are sometimes are pain in the you know what to get glitching sometimes. I do console mods for a living so if it's a pain for me then it would be a nightmare for the inexperienced.

Anyhow, a few pointers for you to check.

1. Reroute your PLL Bypass wire away from being under the X-Clamps and route the CPU-RST cable as MartinC has suggested.

2. Try different value caps e.g. Change 680pf to 68nf cap and 470pf to 47nf. Each Jasper is an individual and no one formula will work on every console. You can alternate anything between the following values 221pf-1nf then if that does not work try 33nf-68nf.

3. Trim the ends of your wires that are exposed to the bare minimum that is required to be able to get the solder to stick so looking from your pictures you have a bit of trimming to do.

4. Make sure your ground cable is thicker than 26AWG and is properly grounded and also shorten your PLL Bypass wire.

Hope this helps.
