Ok, I don't want to hijack another one's thread here, so hence this new one
My situation :
- Jasper 16mb. 6751 CB. Occasionally rrods (1 in 5 times) on stock nand.
Dumped nand as usual. Used Multibuild 0.3 for ecc. Gave me a warning that 6751 was not compatible and that it would use a 6750 donor. Okay, fine. Go right ahead.
I flash the ecc (yes, +w16, it's not my first glitch..).
Then, I boot the xbox. Where I usually expect the green light on the CR to light up a few times, it just stays red. As if the code that triggers the CR is never reached. I try this a couple of times. Same result.
So I start doing the usual checks. Clean up, resolder, other CR, 68nF, 47nF, longer wires, shorter wires, different routes, alt. 3.3v. You name it, I tried it. Still not a single green light on the CR.
As a last resort I use an old version of ggbuild to create an ecc. I doesn't moan about the 6751CB and just spits out an ecc file.
I flash that to the xbox, and voila.. green light in an interval as I would expect it. But, it still doesn't glitch.. keeps giving the green light at a nice interval, but no glitch.
Finally I flash back the original nand (with CR AND Olimex connected) and it boots normally (stock) again.
So. Any of you guys got a clue to what is going on (Software wise) ? No, I don't have pics of my soldering and that is not my question (not just yet
).
I am just wondering why the .ecc multibuild 0.3 spits out won't even let the green light interval kick in on the CR and the old ggbuild one (which uses no donor cb?) does.
Or could the rrod which one in 5 boots shows could be causing my headaches ?
Thanks for any insight.
