Hi.
First Im not a noob, Im not a pro either but Ive done 50+ JTAG, 30+RGH (Falcon, Jasper and trinitys)
I dont use one click programs to make my nand etc i do it as its supposed to be done.
Ive got very good solder skills.
Got a shop for repairing, selling, upgrading, game-consoles, mobiles and computers.

Now to my prob Ive got this 16MB Jasper.
This one boots 1 in every 20/30 attempts.
Tried 3 diffrent CR chips all are rev. B.
Tried in slim mode and phat mode.
Tried with cap bridged and without.
Solderd new wiring 3 times per chip thats 9 times.
Checked solder with microscope all ok.
Measuered solderpoint with mutlimeter all ok.
When erasing whole nand and writing only ECC the console boots at first attempt instanly.
When powering off it does not boot for the next 20 attempts.
Red and green light is bright, very bright, just like all the other successfully done boxes.
Red light is on when powercable is connected to console, when hitting power or eject, green light blinks just like it normal would do when trying to glitch but as title says it boots very slow or dont boot at all and only once in 20 attemps.
Waited for as long as 9 minutes.
Green light comes on and off as normal when trying to glitch several times.

Tried new timing files as one recommended me to do.
Got the JED_pack.rar and tried all of the files with no success.

As I mentioned when erasing nand or re writing nand or ecc it boots instantly at first attempt but thereafter it does not boot for 20 attempts or so.

Wired away from coils just like the phat freeze issue tut says.

So anyone got any clue or suggestions?
Nand is ok, no errors I always dump my nand 5 times, using nandx from TX.

/Jonny

Ive got the B revision, so I bridged tha Cap points, do I still need to solder a cap?

No bridging should turn on the capacitor built in. Try some insulation between the motherboard and the three wires under the board yellow/green/blue. I had probs with
a 16mb Jasper, used duck tape as shielding and all is great now. Mine glitches either immediate or within two flashes of the green light so up to around 10 seconds.

Duck tape does not work as a shield. All it does is keeps the wires closer to the PCB. This may be enough to get better glitching.

For shielding you need something conductive like copper/aluminum tape or coax wires. The shield need to be grounded at one end.

Tape would act as insulation and not as a shield. As stated above a shield must be grounded at only one end. And if I was a customer and found duck tape in my console I would be pissed. There are better ways to insulate such as heat shrink but I have to agree that shielding with coax is better and will acomplish better insulating and shielding.

Well it worked for me, stuck the dusck tape to the board and ran the wires on top of it so they are no touching the board then just used insulation tape to keep the wires in place. This cured a freezing problem I had also when at dash. It works fine as an insualtor.

Yeah works for me too. Difference is I'm using a 150nf cap instead. Boots instantly:)

Tried duck tape didnt work, same as before, when letting it be powered off for a while like an hour or so, it boots instantly at first attempt and then no more succes.
When erased and re writing nand it boots instantly at first attempt then powered of no success at booting again for like 20 tries.
Gonna try with a cap on blue wire.

The blue wire is now stretched over the other cables but Ive tried soldered it in diffrent ways still same.
When bridging och removing cp bridge it boots up instantly at first attempt and then when powered off it does not boot anymore, it tries to glitch with no success.

At the above picture I tried duct tape same result as without.
Tried installing a 68nf cap in the blue wire, same result.

check that the green wire aint touchin any other points.

i cant really tell coz it looks like you have sellotape over it,but it maybe bridged.

This is sooo strange.
Just by desoldering any wire, or remmove bridge or bridging or anything like that.
It boots up instantly then after powering off i got same issues it does not boot anymore.
Green light comes on and off like normal trying to glitch.
This is soooo strange.
Whats the diffrence between Jasper 16MB and Jasper 16MB SB?

Retail nand flashed back, works perfectly.
Nothing wrong with nand, no bad blocks either.
