Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can help with this? I have a jasper 16mb motherboard, i have installed the Nand X kit and all works fine with regards to reading and writing the nand. I am always getting successful reads with no bad blocks and all compare ok. When I get to write Xell or xellous I end up with what seems like a dead unit that will not power up.
I can write the original dump back ok and it works again no problem.

I am using the jtag tool version 2.72 very user friendly utility.

I have the jtag qsb kit installed and I read from another thread that you must have the jtag switched to either resistor setting before writing Xell etc.

I have tried many different combinations but end up with the same result.

I have checked all qsb connections for connectivity using a meter and all seems to be in order.

Many thanks:(

Try the jasper xell (xbins folders) from my signature. Use the standard jasper not the bb one.

Hi, Not sure if I am missing something here, I used the standard jasper.bin as you mentioned earlier. copied it to my nandpro directory.
I followed this process to the tee:

Flashing XBR to your nand :
  • Grab the latest XBR_8955 matching your motherboard from Xbins ( XBOX 360/development/XBReboot/ )
  • Go to your nandpro20d folder
  • nandpro orig.bin: -r16 rawkv.bin 1 1
  • nandpro orig.bin: -r16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2
  • Now that you have extracted your keyvault and config blocks from your orig.bin, inject them in the xbr_8955.bin of your motherboard version :
  • Rename the xbr_8955.bin of your board to xbr.bin to simplify things.
  • nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 rawkv.bin 1 1
  • nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2
  • Now that you've injected your keyvault and config into xbr.bin all you need to do is flash it back to your nand.
  • nandpro usb: -w16 xbr.bin
  • Once done , unplug nand-x usb cable from pc.
  • Leave the console unplugged, and powered off for 30 seconds in order to clear the SMC from memory.
  • Turn on xbox and enjoy XBR (To boot to Xell power on with your eject button)
the only difference being that I injected the rawkv and raw config into the file jasper.bin.

wrote this back to the jasper motherboard successfully, but I always end up with no boot up, you can't turn on via eject button or anything.

I am sure the qsb's are correct because the reading and writing process is working every time.

my original dumps must be correct as when this happens I write them back and the jasper motherboard works as new.

the CB version is 6712 jasper exploitable and dash 7371.

I am sure I am doing something wrong but not sure what?

Hope someone can guide mer further on this?

Thanks
