So far I keep getting this error when using the JTag Tool v1.74:

"Could not detect flash controller!"

I have been trying for hours to get this to work and no luck. Since it is a non-xenon motherboard I have read the installation guide here:

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54423

That has not helped me or solved my problem. Maybe I am not installing it correctly? Both the red and orange light are lit up and working, the drivers are also correct and running! It detects the nand-x too. What is my problem here? I have bought the recently new model which is easy to install and is usb support. Thanks.

The "Could not detect flash controller" error is almost always related to soldering, Check your soldering again. Check the points with a Multimeter if you have one.

By the way, which method have you used for the NAND part? QSB, Pin Headers or Direct Wire ?

I am using the QSB method. But I believe that is just for the nand-x and the JTAG part I have to solder the red and yellow wires according to that tutorial. I will take pictures and show later, this is the first time soldering for me so that may be the problem. Do you have to solder for the QSB for the nand-x or just place them where they say since they are sticky on the bottom?

First you have to stick the QSB into place, then solder the points on the QSB with the motherboard.

Here is my setup going for the JTAG and Nand-X, sorry for the quality hopefully you guys can make it out:

The pictures are blurry. Anyways, have you even soldered the QSBs to the motherboard or have just stuck them on the motherboard?

I only stuck them on the board, that must be my problem lol. How exactly do i solder them though, like does it matter where around it or only the metal parts in the middle? Sorry for being stupid but I have never soldered before.

Sorry, but I think I just sh*t my pants. Yes, you have to soder the points to the contacts on the board. I am pretty sure it says that in the tutorial.

You are sure that in the tutorial, it says to solder. Before today, I was sure that anyone who looks at those QSBs will know that they will have to solder it. But now, I am beginning to think that anything is possible in this world...

Well then, stop being stupid and solder the QSBs :p. Once you do that, you won't get the "Controller Not Found" error.

Honestly thanks a lot and its fine that you are making fun of me, I would too if I knew what I was talking about. I never did anything with xboxs or any console in my life. I am a computer guy and I know xbox is basically a computer but thats about it. Do not know more than that lol. Again thanks!

No Problem. Just do a little bit more of research before you do anything new the next time. I mean, everywhere in the Nand-X forum, it is mentioned that you have to solder. But for some reason, you didn't read it. Maybe were too excited to have your Xbox360 Jtaggad .

As for the making fun bit, I haven't said anything :D. You should wait till someone else gets to this thread. Then you will see what happens....

Anyways, get those QSBs soldered and then post your results.

Not trying to sound like a **** btw but all it says is
The NAND connection can be done 3 ways then shows pictures, of course me I glimpsed at the pictures and noticed the wires and where the parts were placed, the soldering is done so well I thought it was just the board! ahah.

One last thing, does it matter if I use the 2.0d drivers or 2.0e? I would expect 2.0e to be better but which do u suggest?

You can use either one. Although I have the 2.0e somewhere on my PC, I have always used 2.0d and never had a problem with it.

By the way, I am 17 years old ;)
