Did you remove the heat sink during your installation? If so, did you clean the heat sink and chip and apply Arctic MX-4 or other thermal paste?
Even lifting the board out of the chassis by the heatsyncs could have broken the seal between them and the CPU/GPU. Either way, you need to change the thermal compound.

Always give the heats inks a freshen up with a clean and new paste when modding, unless u've already done it recently :tongue:

FWIW you may aswell do the paste, I do all customers box's and my own with fresh paste. Helps in the long run imo

It's actually not as pimped as you'd think. I tend not to mess around with consoles any more than I need to. Stability n all that. It was a standard JTAG console :)
