so i installed the rjtag everything went fine wrote the image when it boots the new image it over heats giving 2 red lights not sure hot to fix this

Even lifting the board out of the chassis by the heatsyncs could have broken the seal between them and the CPU/GPU. Either way, you need to change the thermal compound.
thanks guys i actually forgot to screw in the 8 screws under the clamps , my bad rookie mistake
That will have very little effect on the temps. You REALLY should replace the compound....

FWIW you may aswell do the paste, I do all customers box's and my own with fresh paste. Helps in the long run imo

Always give the heats inks a freshen up with a clean and new paste when modding, unless u've already done it recently :tongue:

Whilst you have everything out of the case I see no point in not replacing the paste as you don't take it apart every day and only takes 5 mins especially with the Xecuter xclamp removal tool

It's actually not as pimped as you'd think. I tend not to mess around with consoles any more than I need to. Stability n all that. It was a standard JTAG consoleI bet that's one pimped out jasper
