Hi
Can anybody help me & tell why "nandpro cannot detect flash controller"? i have soldered all wires according to to Jtag Tool 4.25 picture (LPT programmer):
1. 5x 100 ohm resistors
2. 1x switching diode
soldered directly do mainboard

all checked with multimeter and all connections are good.
power plug is connected to X- stand by mode
no shorts
any ideas?

Check my NAND-x troubleshooting guide (link in my sig).

so,
J1D2-ground at pin 6
1: 0,1V
2: clear 3,3V
3 0,1V
4. ~41 ohm

J2B1:-ground at pin 12
5: 3V (also with ground from J1D2)
6: 5,75 kohm (also with ground from J1D2)

Martin C, how do you think? should i buy nand-x?

all the time and money wasted u could of bought a nand-x... i used to make cables to and they will not help u with a diy cable.. nand-x is the only way to go makes life much easier, plus they will give u support!!! o yea most people do nand readings from the top of the board alot easier too

With Lpt, sometimes when ur cable is too long it wont work.
I say go with the nand-x, as it will make it much easier for you to program the coolrunner as well.

J1D2.1 and J1D2.3 look low. However it may still work. Either get a NAND-x or send it to someone to do. Either way, LPT will not be a good option.

At work, at play...
Nand-x is the way to go... And who knows, with the upcoming Demon... you just might want read/write option for that too... :) I had a good working LPT setup, but I would not go back to it for anything now I have Nand-x.

Give up on the lpt. If 16mb takes approximately 45 minutes you do the math. Plus your chances of errors increase greatly. Just buy the nand-x or split the cost of one with a friend and share.

i've read some posts and there is showing coolrunner as a required part to unflag X.

all i want to do is to remove AP25 flag from X that hasn't been online since flagged and then normal play on XBL.
in my situation, is nand-x everything or should i buy or maybe somethnig more?
