helo, im trying to do jtag to my xb360 phat

dashboard 7371
cb 6712

read nand complete.
trying to use boxxdr method

create xell reloaded, write xell, try to boot into xell. but no joy. get e79.

i try to remove all component, write with original nand, and it can boot well to the dashboard.

try to google, and suddenly find this method. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNDFLJm4PEA
what is the different between boxxdr method and the youtube link method?

E79 simply means your JTAG wiring is bad, or doesn't match the SMC type you've chosen.

Yes, there are multiple ways to wire for JTAG. The easiest by far is the two diode method.

what do u mean it doesn't match the smc type? where to choose that option?

izzit [FONT=arial, sans-serif]necessary to use jasper 6712 hack.bin when in create xell reloaded? im using the latest ver of jrunner, and when i press the create xell reloaded, im not be able to choose the type of xbox. izzit means that the latest jrunner will be able to choose automatically for us which type we goin to use? If you sure your wiring is good then make sure you have built the nand correctly. If you used the aud clamp wiring method then make sure you checked that little aud clamp box in jrunner. If you didnt use the aud clamp method then dont check that box! I always use the aud clamp method, it seems to work the best on hdmi consoles.

It doesn't matter how u wire it.(aud_clamp or regular wiring, the only difference is where you solder 1wire) aud_clamp is better on HDMI models. The trick is creating the xcell image correctly. If using aud_clamp wiring, then click the aud_clamp check box when creating xell. If not don't click the check box. It is simple. If all else fails check the value of tms/tdi against gnd it should be 1.5k ohms.

Look at the JTAG install images in J-Runner. Those are the ones you should be using. As per my sticky, one goes to DB1F1 and the other to either RoL (for normal SMC) or AUD_CLAMP (for AUD_CLAMP SMC).

im not really understand. the image in jrunner using jtag kit. but i dun have it. so does it means if i dun have the jtag kit, i just connect directly from j2d2.1 to the db1f1 using wire and j2d2.2 to aud_clamp without any extra component, without any briging j2d2.7 and j2d2.3?

J2D2.2 should also be 1.5k ohm, not 200 ohm. If it is 200 ohm, this is more than likely the problem. I would attempt reflowing/reballing/replacing the GPU, if you have the tools for it, if not install rgh1. TMS/TDI arent needed for anything other than jtag hack. RGH1 should work with out updating, but to be on the safe side, update to no later than 13699.

aud clamp method means i have to use boxxdr method?

or just change the j2d2.2 with diode from light of ring alternate point to the right hand leg of Q2N1?
Yes move to the Q2N1 leg and then use AUDCLAMP from Jrunner
