I am faced with the same problem yesterday and spend almost all day to fix it. The solution is for 512MB jasper you need to read full size of dump (512MB=108 min) and use it for xell installation with regular one you can't boot to xell for any reason. Also you need to attach all of the periphery before first boot (HDD, DVD). With recommended settings work fine
DIPS 4, 7, 8 = ON - 1.2v JUMPER ON - JTAG AUD_CLAMP OPTION - 470 JUMPER.
