try moving the switch from phat to slim, have worked for some ppl

Hey,
i`ve tried that. Switching to Phat, the LED doesn't even blink up.

Can someone confirm that if the light blinks twice, and if it stops means it has been glitched?

I remember that if it doesn't glitch, the system will just keep blinking green. But mine stopped after 2-3 blinks. sometimes even 5 blinks. I`m totally out of ideas.

Donor ECC files doesn't seem to work either. I still get the same screen and such. I`ve tried HDMI as well as AV. The Ring of light just stays the same. (usually will go one round when booted)

As for rerouting of cables. Any suggestions? Which cables should i shorten? Pictures will be uploaded soon. Gotta go CNY man :D

This box is really DRIVING me NUTS. been trying so many things and NOTHING works.

Here's what i`ve did so far.

Replaced Coolrunner chip to another.
Redone Wires using original Wires that came with the chip.
Redone Wires, (Replaced Points A,B,C,D with AWG 30 Wires)
Put in caps in GND and A and InLine with D point.
Also tried 50CM, 30CM AWG 30 wires for point D as well.
And also using DOUBLE BLUE ORIGINAL Cables for the D Point.

It still does the same stupid thing. (think there's something wrong with signals here, not sure which wire.)

It still starts up, blinks once, and stops, and stays red, No XELL. I`ve used this method of wiring for my other JasperBB sets and they boot up within 10 seconds or less. It's just the one particular board that is really CHEESING me off. Been trying to get it to work for the last 24 hours.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, NOTHING WORKS. PLEASE HELP :(

Does anyone have a solution? I`ve tried the PHAT and SLIP Swtiches as well. still no GO.

have you isolated wires from board my trick and a few others is to double tape them tape to board first then tape on top . Dont laugh at this but it work as well i used straws and fed cable through then as well and it worked

I just picked up a Jasper and the Coolrunner was doing the same thing to me and I couldn't figure it out. Did the whole nine yards (wires - top and bottom, reprogramming everything, checking points. NOTHING would work.) Still had one to three glitches.

I had salvaged the Coolrunner from a Falcon install, so I had to reprogram the Coolrunner's timing file.

I reprogrammed the Coolrunner with JTAG tool and all seemed well. I also created the ECC with Multi-Builder.

Let me tell you, I just used J-runner and went over all the programming in three minutes and now my Jasper has insta-boot without a capacitor. ? :D

I had already read the NAND prior to reprogramming everything.

I used J-runner to re-flash the Coolrunner, with the NAND-X. I created the ECC and wrote it back. Seriously, after a few seconds I was into Xell-Reloaded. J-runner is awesome and solid. I hadn't messed with the wiring at all after using J-runner.

I would strongly recommend using this software and see how everything works out for you.

Cool story, bro? You bet! ;)

Here's the J-runner forum:

I have the same problem with a jasper 512 6751, i work 4 days trying and testing everything on the net.
I try the donor thing with jrunner, autogg and multiman all latest version, caps from 10nf to 100nf, change the coolrunner, reinstall the cables, etc.

it never work, i just give it back to the owner.

I had a finicky 512 and I laid electrical tape on the top and bottom of the wires. InstaBoot. Thank you.

I have been having the same issue with a BB Jasper (CB 6751) as well. Everything is wired up properly. The CR will blink green usually a couple times and then stop glitching. But I am pretty sure it is not glitching properly because the CR's green light should stay on for at least a whole second but when mine blinks it stops right away. I have tried so many different tactics now in the last couple days to try and make this thing work. I've tried bridging the cap on the CR (REV_B). I've tried encasing all the wires on the bottom of the board in electrical tape (wouldn't glitch at all). I have even went as far as using all the alternate points on the top of the motherboard and still no luck with Xell. (I didnt screw up the points on the bottom I just heard some ppl had better luck using the alternate points on the top. I would also love it if anyone had some kind of insight to this.

I have come to the conclusion though that some of these jaspers are EXTREMLY finicky with the placement of the blue and green wires on the bottom, because at one point I was able to get the CR's green light to stay on longer which seemed like it was going to glitch but then it would give me one quick blink and I knew it was wrong. Moved the wires a hair and then it wouldn't glitch again. Go Figure lol.
